Swingatan
|
Swingatan is an acoustic swing quintet, consisting of the violin (Peter Ugrin), two guitars (Marko Čepak Maki and Marko Mozetič Mozo), accordion (Zmago Štih) and a double bass (Nikola Matošič). Much of composing is closer to music inspired by violinist Stuff Smith and with the extra accordion parts added music sounds refreshingly new. The repertoire consists from classic swinging dance tunes to ballads and classical etudes including virtuoso themes all fired up with the ruthless swinging rhythm'n'drive.

Since the earliest years of my creations I drow the ideas from Karst, slovenian italian picturesque landscape, where my hometown is.
This is my first studio recording album with drummer Luca Colussi, bassist Simone Serafini and piano player Dario Carnovale. It is a selection of seven original instrumental compositions of contemporary jazz, plus one bonus track with vocalist Martina Furlan. |
